Product Shelf Life

Prerequisites

• Products have inbound records, and there is actual inventory in the relevant warehouse.
• The system has completed daily inventory data snapshots and shelf life calculations.

Operational Objectives

The "Product Shelf Life" module is used to monitor and analyze the storage duration of products in inventory. By tracking shelf life, you can:

• Promptly identify products with excessive shelf life or in "slow-moving warning" status.
• Understand the turnover efficiency of each batch of inbound products.
• Provide data support for subsequent actions such as promotions, returns to suppliers, or scrap disposal (see Scrap Application for details), thereby optimizing inventory structure and reducing warehousing costs.

Relationship with Business Flow: Tracing Warehouse Rent Details

Product shelf life and business flow can be jointly used to trace warehouse rent details. Combining these two modules helps you clearly understand the underlying logic and specific composition of warehousing fees, making it a core tool for cost control:

1. View the General Ledger from "Business Flow": In the Business Flow module, the system automatically generates "warehouse rent" related deduction records daily. You can intuitively see the total daily warehouse rent deduction amount and total billed volume (e.g., cubic meters).
2. Check Details from "Product Shelf Life": If you have questions about the total warehouse rent for a specific day in the business flow, or want to further break down warehousing costs, you can enter the "Product Shelf Life" module. The "Total Volume" and corresponding "Shelf Life (Days)" for each batch inventory in the list are precisely the most basic data sources for warehouse rent billing in the business flow.
3. Precise Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement: By filtering products with "Slow-moving Warning = Yes" in Product Shelf Life, or sorting directly by "Shelf Life (Days)" in descending order, you can precisely locate high-cost inventory that occupies large volumes, has long storage times, and increases overall warehouse rent. Taking timely outbound or scrap disposal actions for these products can directly reduce the next day's billing base and effectively reduce flow expenditures.

Data Query and Filtering

At the top of the page, you can precisely search for target shelf life data through the following conditions:

1. Warehouse: Dropdown to select a specific overseas warehouse.
2. Product Nature: Filter "Good products" or "Defective products".
3. Slow-moving Warning: Filter whether slow-moving warning has been triggered (Yes/No).
4. SSKU: Enter specific system SKU codes for precise search.
5. Inventory Statistics Date: Select specific date ranges to view inventory snapshot status for a specific day or period in history.
6. Inbound Completion Time: Filter based on the actual shelving and inbound time period of products.

Operation Buttons:

• Click 「Reset」: Clear all filter conditions and restore default state.
• Click 「Refresh」: Get the latest data under current conditions.

List Field Descriptions

The shelf life detail list provides a detailed view of each batch of inventory and supports ascending/descending sorting for some key metrics:

Field	Description
SKU / SSKU	The customer SKU and system unique identification code of the product.
Product Name	The product name maintained in the system.
Inventory Statistics Date	The snapshot date corresponding to this shelf life data (supports sorting).
Warehouse	The physical warehouse where the product is currently stored.
Inbound Completion Time	The precise time when this batch of products completed shelving. Shelf life is calculated from this time (supports sorting).
Product Nature	The current inventory status, divided into "Good products" or "Defective products".
Quantity	The number of pieces in inventory corresponding to this batch/inbound time (supports sorting).
Shelf Life (Days)	Core Metric. The number of days in inventory calculated from the inbound completion time to the inventory statistics date (supports sorting).
Slow-moving Warning	The system determines whether the product is in a slow-moving status based on preset rules.
Size / Total Volume	The length, width, and height dimensions of a single product, and the total occupied volume for this batch quantity (this is the core basis for tracing warehouse rent details).

Data Export

If you need to perform offline data analysis or reconciliation, you can download data to local through the export function:

1. Select Data: Check the product rows you need to export on the left side of the list. The system supports cross-page selection, and you can view the current "Total XX records" data and selection status in the bottom pagination bar.
2. Click "Export": Click the "Export" dropdown button in the upper left corner. The system will generate Excel/CSV tables for download based on your selection. If you click export without selecting any data, it will usually export all results based on current filter conditions (depending on system configuration).
